Lab Grown Meat

In the article Mad Science? By Charles Q. Choi it basically said how scientists grow meat in labs… that's weird right. They can actually grow tiny chicken nuggets. Scientists say that they can cut the livestock production in half. They say that livestock produces 18 percent of the world's greenhouse gases and with growing meat in labs those gases will go down.

My thoughts on this article is how do they know that it will reduce the greenhouse gases. The only way to cut down the livestock population is to kill them and why would you kill livestock for no reason unless your using the meat but why would you need there meat when you have the lab grown meat.

Passion

Rodeo is one of my favored spots not only dose it have livestock apart of it but it also has wonderful people. Yeah it can be dangerous but if you were in the back when the contestens are paying to get in they have wagers so they cant sue The rodeo if they get hurt. In a way Rodeo is a life style the PBR or Professional Bull Riders  the contestens go around the world bull riding, and the rodeo clowns are so funny. The whole rodeo experience is my favorite.

First Farmers In The World

In the Article “How the First Farmers Changed History” the writer Carl Zimmer Talks about how The first farming settlement, Ain Ghazal, Changed History. They were able to grow stuff like barley, wheat, chickpeas, and other things. Some would leave the village for months and go herd sheep and other livestock. Months away from their families to go herd sheep for the whole village. I wouldn't be able to do that not even for sheep and i love sheep there probably my most favorite animal. I find this article amazing, just think they were the first farmers in the world they created farming and passed it down to other villages and now, to this day, we still farm we have a whole industry wrapped around it. That is just amazing..

Riding The Train

A lady from the city and her traveling companion were riding the train through Vermont when she noticed some cows.

"What a cute bunch of cows!" she remarked.
"Not a bunch, herd", her friend replied.
"Herd of what?"
"Herd of cows."
"Of course I've heard of cows."
"No, a cow herd."
"What do I care what a cow heard. I have no secrets to keep from a cow!"

Current Event In Livestock

Beef Prices

In the article "Beef prices move up-- and Down" They tell us why the price is moving up and down. Depending on the time of year to moves, like in the summer when everyone is having BBQs and having get-togethers the Beef prices move up so ranchers get more money for the beef they sale. In the winter the Beef price moves down because less people need it. Lately its been moving more then normal.

In my option its normal to have Livestock prices rise and fall especially when they are processed and not alive. More people needs meet in the summer because of get togethers and stuff like that so there should be no fuss about it. But at the same time I can see why we should worry about the beef prices going up and down because the ranchers won't be getting a steady income because the prices are bouncing up and down same with the butchers.

Where I Get My Information

Most of my information will be coming from a couple of websites.
The first website is call Animals and Livestock  there is 11 different topics they cover and its the same topics all be covering as well but I will have more information for you. Its a credible source because it has good information on it. " Summarizes steps to apply for a PPQ 526 plant pest permit needed to import and move snails and other mollusks that feed upon plants.' Quote from the website.

The second one is about careers working with livestock   which is about careers working with livestock. Its a good source for people looking for careers in the livestock business. "There are many great career options that involve working with livestock species." Quote for the website.

The last one is just a website about livestock  nothing special. It could be a credible source but to me its just a fun website. There is no Quote.

Why I Am Doing This

I chose my subject on livestock because I've needed help with my livestock at times but couldn't find anything or anyone to help me with them. I've helped my family with their cattle and horses plus, I just started to raise animals for the local fair. I've asked for help with my animal many times but the people who I asked never got back to me or didn't really help but they did try, sometimes I will be a good help but sometimes I might not know and will have to get back to you, but I pain on helping as much as I could.

My blog will be a series of different types of livestock care. Every month I will be doing a new topic like the first month, so this month, I will be blogging about Animal Experimentation and Animal use Alternatives, then the next month I will be talking about Alternative livestock. I will be doing this until I'm done with all ten topics some month I will be doing two topics about livestock. Then I will go into the agriculture industry. I might get some time to talk to you about my fair projects as well.

My hopes for this blog are that I will get all the information that you will need to be successful with your own livestock and I hope that you will be happy with all my posts. I hope you will find some use in my blog and find the videos I will be posting helpful. Thank you for your time.
